Depends on how many commerce subjects you take. In 2 years of that degree so far i have only done 3 commerce subjects. Hint: if u wanna major in finance figure out early, ie NOW, how best to structure ur degree to fit it in. I am in a position where i have to almost all of my finance stuff in my 5th yr which sorta sucks when i am going for grad jobs in 5th yr without much finance knowledge.

15-17 is about right now, maybe even closer to 20.

first year i had about 20, second year 17 or so. You usually end up having less contact hours than straight engineering since commerce units like econ1001, acct1001... are usually only 3 hours a week each

I'm doing straight engineering and am on 23 hours a week... a few others are on the same, one I know is doing 24. When I look at art students doing 10 it kinda annoys me, but then again a friend did medical science and was on 29 so I really can't complain about my hours.

I have 24 contact hours a week (2 of those hours are optional) and I'm only doing Engineering subjects this semester (I do Engineering/Commerce)
