any1 know any places that accept hsc student (finished hsc) for any work experience for any engineering related type of work like a 1 week program etc?

Depends on what field..

I did some work experience with a civil Enginner a couple weeks ago

Maybe not HSC student. There are a few companies that might take first years. You literally just get out a yellow pages or look online and phone 100 companies until one accepts you. If you want to take the time to apply, go for it! The further in your program you get, the better chance you have at finding a position. There is a certain amount of design and work skills required before being able to effectively communicate and understand what is going on in the company.

^ What he said. Many companies won't want to hire you, just because you lack the skills to actually do anything useful. But if you have time, just call as many companies as you can. It's a numbers game. The more companies you call, the greater the chance of a company accepting you!

You might find something local council related (like following a surveyor for a week).

Talk to any contacts you may have in the field and network (talk) to as many people as possible get emails phone numbers ect. You might get a job out of it.
