Question asks for "equation of motion". Does it want a function of acceleration in terms of time... or the full gambit? (ie displacment and velocity)

i usually see the term "equation of motion" refering to an expression for the acceleration of the particle

e.g. x''=kv^2

Equation of motion is DEFINATELY acceleration
might be true for HSC, not true in general. Look up Euler - Lagrange equation.
Its an equation of motion, using energies, with no acceleration explicitly.
