I just did a 6 line algebra thing... and out of those 6 lines, i made FIVE errors..
1.wrote the wrong thing, wrote an 'a' instaed of an 'e'
2.forgot to put a term in my expression
3.wrote the wrong equation in at the start
4.copied the wrong equation when subbing it in to another....
5.wrote a 4 instead of a 2 in part of the equation



i keep doing that... even if i purposely try to not make any errors for a calculation lol....
how can i fix it?

i try to look back at my work after each line of working, but sometimes i forget, and even if i do it is time consuming.....

I suffer from carelessness-ingitis too! Its a frightful disease.
To reduce possible damage, try talking with the question. It may seem insane, and cause the person sitting next to you to edge their seat further away, but it helps. When doing working out or long algebric prrofs, just mouth whatever it is you are writing, especially the sign changes.
Also, when copying down the question, especially polynomials, re-read the question/your copy.

I'm also quite terrible with my careless mistakes. On our first 4U exam I lost three marks for doing this:

θ - ( -θ ) = 0 ...

Is it possible to make a more elementary mistake???

i was copying some line down in da polynomials in half yearly

like
ax³+bx²+r=0
and den the next line
i have something like
ax³+bx²=-r²

i just put a freaking r² for no reason when it's supposed to be just an r....

and i did something similar to the q. after that q. as well
lost 5 marks total just from writing stupid things

yeah, in 4unit i did 2/4 = 2. i win kfunk

ive also done the a=e thing, the best way i try 2 get around stupid stuff is 2 check back

eq - 2/4 = 2, yeah, thats true.....

u will make the same mistake, but if u go, ok, the 2, where did that come from, look at previous line.....wtf? 2 x 4 doesnt equal 2....

in the end its practice and patience wen workin through the question
