Ok so in we've reacted propanol with methanoic acid in the presence of H2SO4 and hopefully have some propyl methanoate somewhere there.

We've taken away the sulfuric acid by neutralising with sodium carbonate, and taken away water by reacting it with calcium chloride. When water is reacted with calcium chloride, CaCl2·2H2O is produced.

How can this CaCl2·2H2O be removed?

edit: what would be the subscript of the ester? (aq) ?
