i honestly think a cocktail dress is too much for a date.... a cocktail dress reminds me of a quiet (lots of eyes to eyes contact/staring at each other :p) candles lit dinner in some fancy restaurant, surrounded by old couples *shivers*

Main thing is to be comfy and urself so I tend to always wear jeans, only cos im most comfy in them
Depending of course on where ur going, a simple skirt could b real nice too, like natstars outfit
I tend to focus more on the hair and makeup and tend to keep the outfit simple yet stylish, so I guess straight leg jeans, ballet flat, simple plain top/s so I can go crazy with accessories, nice belt lol and definately an oversized bag, hair always out n makeup but not over the top!!!

just wondering what people wear for first dates....mainly aimed at girls...but guys can input as well...
First date wear? How about clothes.

honestly, trust a girl to get carried away, it really doesn't matter. If you look to dressed up you seem pretentious. Too casual is never too casual. Dress for the venue, but don't stress. The main thing is to be yourself, which you cannot express through clothes anyway, so why bother.

Just smile and nod, make eye contact etc.

Good luck :)

+ PwarYuex looks bad in any clothes, so maybe he shouldn't go on any dates.

What I'd wear depends on where we are going and what we are doing.
Say if we are going out to somewhere nice for dinner I'd wear a dress and heels, or a skirt + top and heels.

Depends on:
Weather - do not want to uncomfortably cold or hot
Date - venue obvious
Time of day isnt a huge concern
The girl in question - its all about marketing

Typically jeans, t-shirt/polo/shirt (main change for venue/marketing), shoes that match the rest.

No accesories or makeup :p

depends on where you're going.

for a guy, just look neat and not like you stumbled out of bed in those clothes.

if i went out on a first date for coffee or something tomorrow, i'd just wear my red skinnies, black jacket, random tshirt and chucks. i think its pointless to dress up for a first date if you don't *normally* dress up to go out.
