Come on i dont really see anything in common with arts, just by going by the name "Arts" it implies its for layabout doll bludgers, then their are the specilisations that arent even career specific, they seem to be their just to "learn" and u cant really find a job in them. Unlike business degrees which all lead somewhere

The demand for business graduates who have majored in marketing or such may drop marginally in a few years time, but certainly not for Accounting majors.

Most Definitely not Accounting, as we are currently experiencing a national Shortage of Accountants, and regardless of the economy accountants are needed

Accountants have been in demand for the past 50 years, and I don't see that changing soon - especially since the economy is in such a strong growth period now, businesses are generally expanding and accountants are needed to oversee the financial aspect of this expansion, which is one of the reasons why we have a national shortage. Hell, even people who get an accounting diploma from TAFE have a high employment rate.

Yes, but their starting salary is lower, and takes them longer to progress up the ladder

There should be, even if its not in the corporate sector, u could be a supervisor in a retail outlet, and it would also depend on the electives ur doing

you need to organise the money before you have the money to create a marketing campaign. accountants will ALWAYS be the primary role in business. it is the core. business could survive without specialised employees int he other areas, but accountants are imperative to a businesses survival
