I used Republic to Reich and Democracy to Dictatorship when I was in yr 12 and they were both very useful.

Advanced History Core Text: Weimar and Nazi Germany (Advanced History Core Texts)
Chris Hinton, John Hite

Offering a core text on Weimar and Nazi Germany, this work provides thorough exam preparation, as well as giving students an insight into the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich. It offers practical guidance and help in essay writing and revision, as well as offering decision-making exercises and source-based investigations.

yeah rep to reich is excellent but i cant help but feel that they are a bit TOO brief under some of the headings...i know we have to use other sources and not just rely on one single thing but just a LITTLE more info sometimes or some elaboration on the concept might make it better...

we are using republic to reich - and i think its vague. It has good sources but its very vague on details etc. Especially the personalities chapter - Speer and the other one.
we also used individuals in history for speer
