TBH I'm pretty post libertarian in my own weird way but whatever

I'd start with either economics in one lesson

http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Economics-One-Lesson-Hazlitt/9780517548233

and then

http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Free-Choose-Milton-Friedman/9780156334600

Then some Hayek who is a BEAUTIFUL WRITER

http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Road-Serfdom-FA-Hayek/9780226320557

first then

http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Constitution-Liberty-Friedrich-Von-Hayek/9780226315393

Then some nozick

http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Anarchy-State-Utopia-Robert-Nozick/9780465097203

Then I'd pump it up a bit and get next level with

http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Ethics-Liberty-Murray-Rothbard/9780814775592

then I think get into

for a new liberty

http://mises.org/rothbard/foranewlb.pdf

That's from a philosophical perspective

I'll put together a list of books from an economic perspective for you as well if you'd like.

couldn't send the pm back but whatever this is all GOOD SHIT

Also regardless of what you think of libertarian principles or the free market or shit

http://mises.org/books/defending.pdf

^ defending the undefendable is a fantastic book that will make you rethink some basic concepts in a so called 'free society'

Those economic books are not worth the paper they are printed on unless they predicted the 2008 - Ongoing implosion of free market economics?

Rothbard was an absolute joke of an economist most would argue today.

my friend dave is an ex libertarian

he was a libertarian when he was 16 right up until like 3 or so years ago

he completely rejects austrian school economics and utterly loathes it now

its pretty dramatic reading his massive libertarian posts from 4 years before and what he thinks of them now

The Austrian School is rubbish. That is half the reason the world is suffering the GFC now!

How can he even make that call at age 16? Most 16 year olds can't even manage their own bank account or know how the economy really functions. Was it just the fact that 3 yeas later he had matured and realized what an idiot he was before, or did something else show him his wrongs?

he is a genius (literally)

what he wrote about economics when he was like 16 years old were equivalent to the most intricate posts on this forum now

i dunno what caused him to change his mind on the austrian school ive never really asked him because if i did he'd respond with 50 paragraphs filled with jargon
