Had Economics + Maths Ext 1 today.

Economics - not a bad exam, think I went quite well. Essays were on Australian govt response to globalisation + about other economy studied (ie China).

Maths Ext 1 - Disaster... hard exam and dont think i got above 75%.. hoping to pass lol.

But nevertheless, I've finished all my half yearly exams finally... wooot 3 week holiday starts from now.
I need a restt.... half yearlies drained the shit out of me.

Which part of the syllabus does that belong to? I can't seem to find anything about that in my textbook...

I think the question went along the lines of ".... response of the Australian Government to problems brought about by globalisation..."

I went on to write about how free trade agreements cause short term structural unemployment and the retraining/skills programs introduced by govt to help with this.

Monetary policy to combat inflation caused by econ. growth

Environmental consequences - carbon emissions trading scheme + clean coal technologies + renewable energy etc etc

etc etc... and just blurted out a few more things.

I'm not sure exactly where it is in the textbook.. we use Leading Edge Economics textbook... and I don't think theres an actual defined section on it, but its scattered throught topics 1 and 2.

*high five* loll
i dunno, our MX1 exam was just pretty challenging, and since i hate The Parabola and Binomial Theorem topics, I stuffed up those questions. + in the middle of the exam i cut myself SOMEHOW (?) with my pacer, and the heavy rain started to splash into the hall. but meh....

LOL, funny, you somehow sustained an injury and got went, unlucky.

But yeah, I will probably drop the maths extension and keep the two unit. As much affort as I and my teacher put in, I just did not seem to get the questions or the process. I got to the stage I was writing down things for the hope of marks LOL.

I had Modern History and English yesterday.
The English was pretty easy, but trying to relate my texts to it was a little complicated.
I had to bribe my teacher to take out half of the questions in Modern. Thank God he did because i only just finished.
But now i have 2+ assessments to do to make up for it.
Religion and Hospitality tomorrow.

We started ours on Thursday, but that was Business studies, which I don't do. This exam block, I only have two exams: Physics which is this Friday and Mathematics which was yesterday (I am pretty sure I stuffed up maths big time, hopefully at least 75% there, which for me ain't that great). We did an assignment for english and one for ancient history in which they bumped up the percentage it was worth so that we wouldn't have to do exams for them. With SOR2unit, the've given us two smaller assignments (in class essay and a viva voce) to make up for the lack of an exam. I like it better this way though; assignments are easier than exams and now I have tons of time to study in between my two exams.
