I despise IE becuase it takes shit long to "connect" before any URL has been typed up.

Chrome FTW.

since i installed windows 7, ff3 has crashed a few times whereas it never seemed to in XP/vista. Yeah it does seem a little laggy eh.

so what do u use now, vds700? (i'll be putting windows 7 on my laptop soon, when i can be bothered)
Still using ff though now i know about that keyboard shortcut to get to my home page, might switch to chrome.

Omie on a side note i have a similar laptop to you (asus M51V, model under yours i think) and windows 7 installed perfectly, found and installed drivers for all hardware automatically. Runs faster without all that asus crap that comes pre-installed with vista.

I'm running a very average system. XP SP3, 512MB RAM, 3.2GHZ Intel Pentium 4

Quickest browser: Google Chrome 4.0.222.12

Best Support for Add-Ons: Firefox 3.5.3

I've been using Firefox for 3 years now as my primary browser. However, the last few releases, since 3.5 have been terribly buggy and subject to frequent crashes. I really hope they fix it soon because the only thing keeping me with Firefox is the add-ons.

you know you could get better performance out of that machine by adding in more RAM, its a cheap and easy upgrade you can do yourself.

My desktop is an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (similar to yours)and i upgraded from 1GB to 2GB RAM and it runs much better now

yea the reason why i like chrome so much is because there is no toolbar, lol.

only toolbar i have in FF3 is the bookmark toolbar, ive disabled any google/avg/other toolbars.
