How do they derive 3/4u marks? (1 Viewer)

How Do they Calculate the marks for 3 and 4 unit marks?
Like do they make the 3 u paper and 4 u paper each out of 100 or do they only count for 50 and they derive a 2 u mark?

If the latter how do they derive it?

but usually you will still have to do all of the 2 unit assessments at your school just in case you drop down to 3u maths......

yeh i did my 2u assessments uptil my trials...
they would have been used had i dropped down to 3u.

As an interesting sidenote, a 2u mark is actually derived by working down from your position in the 3u paper. It's not used for your UAI or anything, though - the Board just likes to tell people what band they would have been placed in had they taken the 2u course.

thanx..thats such a relief, someone said they average a mark from 3 u and 4 u and get a 2 u
