Before starting a course, how much info do the unis send you about it? What info do they send you? How much do you need to find out yourself before you start uni?

they'll send you info on hecs (if appropriate) and how to enrol. it depends on the uni but you might have to organize your timetable (pick you classes and what time you take them). some unis (usyd i think) do your timetable for you. i dont think i received much info on my course. your uni will probably have a handbook/guide that outlines all the degree types and what you need to do to qualify for a degree etc. at macuni you buy this seperately ($10) or can view it online.
