Hi guys,

I'm Oscar, and I'm currently accepting a few more HSC students for a variety of subjects in the humanities, though I specialise (and majored in) English. That said, I occasionally will take both younger kids, and first-year university students.

As a tutor, I pride myself on establishing a good, friendly relationship with my students. This is crucial to actually motivating you to improve, and really getting engaged with the subject, rather than it being a crappy chore you just want to get done. As such, I often mentor across a range of subjects, including university advice.

Anyway:

I offer tutoring and crucial advice for students of;

English Adv
English Ext 1
English Ext 2
Ancient History
Art History
Biology
Philosophy

Accreditations:
Graduated Sydney Grammar School 2006, with a UAI of 99.05.
Premier's Award for Excellence, gaining over 90 in all six subjects.
Full marks for English Ext. 2 Major Work.
Twice winner [dux] of the George Knox prize for Ancient History (2005, 2006)
Tutor as part of the Super-vision Scheme at Sydney Grammar School, 2008-10.
Am currently completing BA Arts (Advanced) (Honours) degree at Sydney University, with a double-english/philosophy major.
Currently doing Honours in the Philosophy of Psychiatry.
Have published a large amount for international magazines, incl. Vice Magazine.
Now programming assistant for content at FBI Radio (94.5FM). I also present/announce shows on FBi; as well as being the Producer for their Friday Arvos Show.
Reporter for Honi Soit Magazine.

I am based near the City, in Potts Point so am looking for students in the City/East/South area.

In general, I charge $40 an hour, though this is negotiable depending on how long it takes me to get to you, or if you're willing to come to me.

Contact me at l.o.hedstrom@gmail.com, or just give me a call (leave a voice message) on 0425283754.

I look forward to hearing from you, and hope you look forward to working with me.
