I'd go for one of the Jetlag Travel series by Rob Stitch, Tom Gleisner and Santo However-You-Spell-His-Surname. The three books (so far) are Molvania, Phaic Tan and San Sombrero and are a bit odd ... they're parodies of travel guides, which is an bizzare concept in itself, but the humour stems from the authors trying to make these places sound exotic when in reality they're little more than squalid if not downright danerous places to visit.
