Hey guys,

I was wondering how much can one improve from trials to the actual HSC as I feel I can get a band 6 in a few subjects if I can do really well in the HSC?

Currently, I am on an estimate of 92-93 from a number of sources and I see it as reasonably accurate for my current effort however I am aiming for around 94-95. Is this an achievable target?

Also, what is the biggest improvement you have seen from someone's ATAR estimate at the end of trials and their final HSC mark?

Also, do you have any idea what mark you would need to get a state ranking in business studies or studies of religion 1 unit?

Cheers for any help :)

It is possible to improve greatly on your trial marks, it all depends on how you go on the day of the HSC exam and the amount of work you put into your studies over the next few weeks. My brother had an estimated ATAR/UAI of ~68 at the end of his trials but ended up getting an 87. I think that is a very achievable target and you might be pleasantly surprised come December 18th. Good luck!
