Scott, you are right, they've never really capped HTTP downloads. i've regularly done 2-5gb in a day and never had any problems at all over the years.

i may have gone a little rampant in my younger years but my ways are completely legal now although youtube, myspace, purevolume, donwload.com, Guild Wars and WoW still take up a fair bit of bandwidth! oh well, I figure my $8k of hecs a year needs to go towards something as it certainly doesnt pay for lecturers in my course!

lol ive downloaded 160gig this year, hard being pretty much the only tv downloader. The other colleges need to pick up their game!! My rapidshare account maxes out everyday from downloaders from Teds - can't see much coming from up the hill...
