Hypothetically, would it be better to:

1. get a big4 internship and accept the graduate role --> but at the cost of overloading for one semester (with hard ass subjects which might cause me to get terrible marks) to finish on time?

OR

2. get a big4 internship and reject the graduate role --> allows me to study at a good pace with 3 subjects per semester --> reapply for another graduate role elsewhere?

Why?

I'd take the graduate role - getting a grad job is a lot harder than overloading.

Why not simply ask the place you work if they will delay your start date until mid-year so you can finish your subjects?

Just do #1. If you don't happen to make it through, quite a few firms are quite understanding and will either offer you an alternate role with a different title (may or may not have same pay but you won't be able to be promoted to senior until you've graduated) and an understanding/time to help you finish uni or give you a deferral.
