Not sure if it only appplies to it or vet courses as a whole, but is the hsc exam mark the only mark that goes towards the hsc. IE. marks we got in school don't mean anythingbecasue the assessment mark column is striked out?

Yes it is, only the HSC mark your internal assessment mark is a means for a backup for misadventure, that's why your rank wasn't even cared about when they were released on the 14th of nov.
