major and sub-majors? (1 Viewer)

hey can someone pls tell me what's the difference between major and sub-major @ uts? and on ur certificates do they only indicate ur majors only? and electives are subjects you choose from other faculties other than ur down faculty, am i right?

A major is 8 subjects (so a year if you take them all at once)
A sub-major is 4 subjects (so half a year if you take them all at once)

The above is based on all the subjects being 6cp, but they can be more or less.

The certificates should indicate both your major's and sub major's. Electives can be taken both in and outside your faculty, but they are called electives when they don't form part of a major of sub-major.

hm...subjects...u mean those with code name next to it like eg 22566 Accounting for Small Business 1 ??
cus sub-major varies in subjects.... i'm just trying to figure all these out before my enrollment so i dun waste time there not knowing b4 hand

wait sorry hahah your correct i didn't read properly yeh 4 subs for sub major and 8...ur right me wrong!...thanks heaps....so that's pretty cool ur major and ur sub majors are printed on ur cert...sweet
