So here I am, a year 11 student drooling all over my maths text book. Quadratic equation here, some obscure formula there, then whatever you learn in year 12, more obscure formulae..

Do you ever use these at uni?? If so, please reply, I'd love to know what courses and why. Especially for all those algebraic formulae for factorising etc..
Or is it jus the BOS that force us to know these things?

If u do any maths/science/engineering/commerce subjects at uni, then u do make use of at least the basic calculus and algebraic equations at uni

Even in what may seem to be arts subjects, such as psychology, quadratic equations appear in the statistics that you do.

You do learn it for a reason. :)
