Hey all

I'm considering transferring from my current course- biomedical science- at UTS into Medical Science at Syd... I'm aware that I will be credited certain subjects because I've already done some of them in my current degree but am unsure which ones I will be credited.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could post the Medical Science subjects (all 3 yrs) so I can compare the subjects i've sat and determine which ones I will be credited

All I know is first year is Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Maths...

Thank you so much for your reply! you say first year is physics, maths, biology and chemistry... 1st year for me was also pretty much based around those subjects except for maths- we did statistics instead- is this considered math? or are we talking ACTUAL "math"?

Also, how many of each subject are you expected to do?

Our 1st year outline was something to this effect;

Autumn Sem:

Chemistry 1
Cell Biology and Genetics
Biosphere
statistical Design and Analysis

Spring Sem:

Chemistry 2
Human Anatomy and Physiology
Biocomplexity
Physical Aspects of Nature (physics)

Does this outline look similar to what you sat in your first year?

Third Year is any major within the faculty of Medicine. Statistics is one of the maths subjects you do have to do in first year but you have to do a minimum of four ACTUAL math subjects in first year each worth 3 cp.
