Hey guys, this is my first post on the forum.
I am wondering how many related texts I should have for each of my prescribed texts in English(currently motorcycle diaries and Richard the 3rd). I am also confused about the structure of the 2nd HSC paper (after looking at it), what is involved in this paper? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You should have a minimum of 2. The HSC examinations can ask for 2 related texts and if you don't have 2, you're screwed.

Paper 2 is simple. You're given questions for each of the modules you have studied and you have to write an essay.

Each prescribed has one related text but you need a back up one as well so 2. For Richard the third the only set related is 'looking for Richard'
Paper 2 consists of the modules so:
Module a (texts & contexts)
Module b (close study of text)
Module c (exploring interactions)

Two are almost never asked so one should be enough. But its better safe than sorry so have a briefly prepared one before each exam to cover all bases.

Hi, I am an English HSC tutor, specialising in Advanced English and based on what I have taught my students I've compressed the useful stuff into an easy guide and am now selling copies on eBay before releasing it as an Ebook. This will help you with every section of the English HSC exam paper and guide your assessments throughout the year. All of my students have used this method and the minimum mark achieved by any of them was 80 once they started following it. Check it out here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/201268798869?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 - There is info about it on the listing and if you need any other advice feel free to reply :)
