Which singers/bands/whatever are releasing stuff still as good as what they were doing in their heyday of the 60s/70s (80s, too, if you think it counts). Most have long ago turned to mediocrity, but the following have all made kick-arse albums this decade:

Bob Dylan
Brian Wilson
Loretta Lynn
Bruce Springsteen
Elvis Costello
Steely Dan
Tom Waits
Linda Thompson

Johnny Cash and Warren Zevon released some awesome stuff too, but I probably shouldn't include them given that dying drastically hurt their artistic output.

I dont know if you can really include Brian Wilson in that list, given that it took him 30 odd years to release smile.
He's fucking over rated anyway.

Wait's last album wasn't all flash. Alice aside, he hasn't really released an awesome album since bone machine. They've just been 'okay.'
