i got really good marks 4 my essay last yr and it went along this basic thing:

iago is the key to Othello. He is the catalyst for the change in all the characters and he has the most soliloquoys (spelling?)

every major event can be traced back to iago.

do not concentrate on othello being black either. he wouldnt have been of an african appearance, more a darker middle-eastern sort of a look.

We just finished it. I think it's gonna be in my half yearly.

I had/have no idea what goes on in the play, it just goes over my head. Maybe because I'm not paying attention because it bores me.

Would be great if anyone could give me a quick synopsis/analysis of the story so I can go back and read it again.
