Does this refer to the BDS movement?

Do you have anything against sanctions?

Elaborate on what you find so abhorrent about sanctions in general (not just this one)

They punish people rather than the government and serve to solidify animosity. Why should the university reject somebody who could contribute greatly to the institution based on something as arbitrary as the area from which they hail?

I don't think I can put it much better than the man who abolished Apartheid: http://www.fwdklerk.org.za/download_speech/04_06_14_DWS_Institut_Choiseul_S_PDF.pdf

Firstly, sanctions are a very blunt weapon and often lead to unintended and unpredictable
consequences. Often the main victims of sanctions are the very people that they are
supposed to help.

Secondly, sanctions can be quite effective in encouraging action and reforms that do not
threaten the core interests or the continued existence of targeted governments and
communities. However, few governments are likely to bow to sanctions that they believe
will lead to their destruction. It is accordingly essential to identify the reasonable interests
of targeted governments and to devise approaches to reassure them that such interests will
not be jeopardised. As mentioned above, the Reagan administration finally secured the
cooperation of the South African government in implementing the UN independence plan
for Namibia not by threats of sanctions – although they were always in the background -
but by addressing South Africa's real concerns regarding the presence of Cuban forces in
neighbouring Angola and by ensuring that the rights of the territory’s minorities would be
protected by a strong and negotiated constitution.

Thirdly, the international community should identify and encourage forces for change in
targeted states. Economic growth and international cultural influences are often powerful
forces for change. It accordingly makes little sense to try to cripple the economies of
targeted states or to isolate their citizens from positive cultural influences. To the extent
that economic sanctions retarded economic growth and development in South Africa they
also served to slow down powerful underlying forces that were in fact already changing
the country. The cultural and academic sanctions that were imposed against South Africa
also served only to inhibit one of the most powerful forces for change in the country.

Kind of like real sanctions. I'm against real sanctions. I'm not against these ones because they target Israeli's, whom I care not for.

I though it was against university regulations, unless permitted, to bring any kind of weapon, false or otherwise onto university grounds.

These socialists should of been escorted from the university grounds solely on that basis alone.

Not very bright to take photos either.

I like the paunchy guy smiling........like he's ever gone hungry in his life...
