a) There are 6 different letters to arrange, therefore 6!
b) TD SUIO. You arrange TD = 2! multiply with the 4 letters and treat TD as one, hence 5 objects to arrange. Therefore 2! x 5!.

I know, its just simply using P is limited for the ext1 course whereas my logical working out would help OP for different questions.
