Anyone have any ideas what they're going to drop/pick up for yr 12? (We're a third of the way through Yr 11, it's shocking!)

Potential pick ups:
Ext 2 English (I really like writing, but I'm not sure I'm good enough at it. It's pretty subjective too)
History Ext (I find history really interesting, but it's a subject that would require alot of self management and interest. Good thing too is it has a test so it's not all based on your project(though someone told me that's internally marked?)

Dropping:
Despite the fact I occasionally feel like dropping everything, I'll probably drop whatever I do worst in (unless it's Adv Eng. can't drop that).
But Yr 11 bio is boring, but yr 12 looks better.

If I picked up one of the two possible exts, I would drop 1 2u subject.
If I picked up both, I'd probably drop 2 2u subjects (or maybe still 1).

I hope the next two terms of Yr 11 give me a better idea! But what are all your preliminary thoughts?

I might drop SDD I'm tempted to drop physics to lighten the load even more.

I'm not picking up anything.

I'm picking up either Ext 2 Eng or Maths, leaning towards English at the moment, but we've still got 2 terms to go, so i'll just see how I go.

Probably not dropping, but I might drop Latin if it gets too hard.

I won't be dropping a subject, just incase I flunk out in one of my subjects during the HSC.

I would like to pick up History Extension, especially considering I am doing both Modern & Ancient, though my school is too retarded and doesn't offer it.

Keep Advanced. Dropping will only hinder you.

If I were to be granted a lucky opportunity to go to another school, I would do Advanced English, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics Extension 2.

Should I do 4U? im not really sure about it. :/
At my school only like 4 or 5 people do 4U and think like half of them end up dropping back to 3U

As long as you enjoy maths and are very solid with your 3 unit topics, you will be fine.
