when a question says, "what is the probability..." do we asnwer with a decimal, fraction, percentage or word e.g very likely, likely etc?

Depending on the question, but usually it will be a fraction. xD

I wouldn't if I were you. if the question has fractions, give a fraction. if it has decimals, do that. don't do as a percentage unless it asks you.

If the question doens't specify, I would stick to using the most simplified fraction, e.g 1/2 not 13/26.

If the question specifies as a decimal to a certain number of significant figures or decimal places, do as they ask.
