Hey all – new and current USyders (but not exclusively*)!

In a sentence, Project Edge is a USyd initiative that allows students to create, develop and validate business ideas of their own.

Project Edge facilitates a semester-long program to help create a framework for the startup process and works to cultivate students' innovative ideas and entrepreneurial ventures. Project Edge isn't a "society" in the traditional sense of the word; we're looking to turn these ideas into successful businesses and organisations.

More information on the program, the team and the application process can be found at www.projectedge.org.

This semester, we've been working to arrange for all participants to have access to learning opportunities, business workshops and even mentorship from successful entrepreneurs and startups during semester. There is a “pitch-fest” at the end of every semester of Project Edge where teams pitch their idea to a panel of judges. Here’s an article about the last one: http://www.brw.com.au/Page/Uuid/0170e6f4-eef5-11e0-a508-b99d2c9a9d71.

Apply even if you’re not sure – there’s no obligation to follow through with your expression of interest. We’ll be contacting all applicants for an information session where we break down the program and you can ask any questions you have.

Thanks all, and we hope to hear from you soon!

*Non-USyders are more than welcome to join in. But don't worry too much if you can't make it this time round, we plan to expand to other universities in the very near future. Keep an eye out for us!
