I'm applying for student travel concessions, and one of the points on the form is:

I am fully engaged in studies and not engaged in business or employment nor receiving any remuneration (scholarships and allowances
such as Austudy and Youth Allowance are not counted as remuneration).

Does that mean that I can't work *at all* (including private tutoring) while in uni to get the student fares?! (Yes I fulfill everything else. It's just this point that confuses me.)

Thanks

This was raised in a thread a couple of months ago.

No one pays attention to that requirement, and it is never followed up. It would have to be one of the most flouted rules in Australia. Everyone just gets the concession anyway.

My friend got asked whether she was working when she went to get her concession, and she said no and got it. Obviously she works and I don't think anyone checks (she's going to UWS)
My form didn't even say anything about it... (UNSW)
So i don't think it would be fair for you guys if you couldn't get one :p
