our prescribed texts for lit homelands are adiga's white tiger and chong's burning rice (also brick lane but that's not in the upcoming assessment).
i was originally going to use v.s. naipaul's the nightwatchman's occurrence book and rushdie's quichotte as relateds, but i found it quite hard to independently analyse the former, and don't have time to read the latter in-depth. my teacher has already recommended poetry by phillip levine to use as one related, but i need a second for my essay. looking specifically for a short story, but i can make do with a novel as long as it's relatively short.
thanks!
