Hey, just wanted to ask if anybody with any experience, (eg. through someone close or a past HSC student) can tell me of a rough give or take range regarding the UAI predicted by SAM, and what the actual result will be. Heard of any significant deviations off the given mark or something??

Cheers

Have a look at this thread:
http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=161343
where 2007 posted their actual UAIs as well as some with their SAM and JUAI estimates

Going by last years, generally SAM is usually above UAIs, however it varies from year to year depending on the strength of the cohort

However, that was when they typed in their actual HSC marks

A BETTER ANSWER;

Sam tells you what UAI you would get if you completed your hsc in a certain year. I think its currently set at 2006.

It is fairly accurate I don't think i've seen it vary more then 2.0

UAC calculates your UAI based on your Raw HSC Mark
SAM/JUAI calculates your UAI based on your Aligned HSC Mark

SAM/JUAI are pretty close anyways +/- 4ish UAI

Yeah my cousin did it in 2004..till this day i put his exact marks in and it gives me a spot on 99.2, so it is pretty accurate most of the time. Just wanted another option.
