just wondering about scaling/moderation of some of my subs. ok so if i come average in a high scaling subject e.g 50/100 in chemistry and come top in a low scaling subject e.g. 1/20 legal studies which subject would most likely count assuming all of my other subjects are the same and the same mark for both cases. school is around top 15. therefore would it be better for me to drop chem and concentrate on legal or other way round??

PS: I cant be bothered putting in all the grammar

thanks again :headbang:

I'm assuming you and the rest of your school would do well in the HSC 'cause you go to a good school (which is important in moderation).
Your legal would almost definitely count (assuming you did better in all your other subjects than these). Unless, by some freak chance, that all 100 people in your grade doing chem aces the HSC, or you just do really shit in the HSC for legal studies.

In my opinion, it's still better to drop legal studies and concentrate on chem. But I'm a believer in the power of scaling ;)
