Got the reply today after asking whether we had to attend:

Not at all. You have scored the IT entry prize. If you are unable to attend
you are most welcome to collect your certificate and cheque ($1000
paid each semester this year) after 12th May from the Faculty of Science
during counter hours 10.00-4.00 Monday-Thursday and from 10.00-1.00pm on
Fridays.

I would be very grateful if you could let me know whether you are able to
attend the ceremony or not because the catering for the evening is well
above the usual standard of University Union fare and costs accordingly.

Students who are able to attend the ceremony receive their cheque and a
certificate from a senior academic member of staff.

Yeah, the Science Student Office is on Level 5 of Carslaw iirc.

I'm pretty sure the science student office is on level 2 (street level), behind the staircase. I checked on their website too. The one on level 5 is the maths first year office isn't it?

Hey did anyone get another invite, this time from the Vice Chancellor/Principle for Tues 24th Scholarship reception? Am i meant to receive two seperate invites, one from my faculty, which was held last week, and now the uni as a whole, or am i just special?

No that happens to most people I think. As a member of two faculties (combined degree) I have got 3 invites

Apparently one turned up at my house in Albury today, Ive been offered a Commonwealth Accomm scholarship, my mum is posting it up for me to fill out tomorrow.

bank details? dont they simply send you the cheque..? maybe works differently with different scholarships?

my boyfriend got a commonwealth learning scholarship, the $2000 one. Hooray for him!

Nothing for me though. Oh well, i have already got one, i guess i shouldnt be greedy! i'll try again next year when my current one runs out.
