hey
jus would like some help with a shm question
a point moving with SHM has a velocity of 4m/s when passing through the centre of its path and its period is pi seconds. What is its velocity when it is 1 metre from the position in which its velocity is zero

find when position when velocity = 0 (when acceleration is at its max) at the ends of the SHM, minus 1 (or add 1) and plug the x in x'.

T=2pi/n
pi=2pi/n
n=2pi/pi
n=2

now,

v^2=n^2(a^2-x^2)

sub x=0, v=4

16=2^2(a^2-0)
16=4a^2
a^2=4
a=2

tf v^2=4(4-x^2)

sub in x=1

v^2=4(4-1)
v^2=12
v=sqrt(12)
