I'm considering doing a Bachelor of Social Work, and I was wondering if anyone else has done it and what they thought about it?
Is it an interesting course?

Also I noticed it had a practical element to it, I was wondering what kind of work people had done for it?

Thanks :)

Yes! Do social work!! join us! lol and come to UNSW as well!!
Hey there i'm a 3rd year Social Work student, i think there are a few of us on here. You can find more on this thread http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=118154
And what do i think of it...well i luv it! Speaking of the practical element i'm on my 3rd yr practicum right now. So to answer your questions, yes i believe it is an
interesting degree. Due to the fact that it combines so many topic areas, such as psychology and sociology. In turn these concepts complement with practical skills such as interviewing, community work and therapy. I orginally started this degree because i wished to work with children, but i have now been exposed to other client groups which interest me as well. :)
