it is observed that the fizzing is less if the bottle is kept under refrigeration rather than at room temperature. Deduce whether the dissolving process is exothermic or endothermic; explain reasoning?

Okay, you know Le Chatelier's principle opposes changes (basically), right?

If making it cooler reduces fizzing, then fizzing must be endothermic as it makes the drink cooler (and it's try to heat it up) and the system doesn't want that - it wants to heat up, that's why there's less fizzing.

ie H2CO3-->H2O+CO2 is enothermic.
