You can get a good UAI with any combo of subjects as long as you excell in them

I agree.

However, physics, chem and maths ext 1 scales pretty well as long as you go well in those subjects.

Since a UAI is a rank, not a mark, just beat as many people as you can and you should do well.

While one subject doesn't make a UAI, one subject CAN break a UAI. So be sure not to neglect ESL.

If you manage band 6 in everything (or E4 in extention) regardless of your subject choice, you will do brilliantly when it comes to UAI.

Holy crap man.
I did Chem in year 11. You'll be fine, and you'll do really well in it, AS LONG as you revise your notes every night. Chem's one of those subjects you cant slack off in. They're all reasonably meaty subjects, and have a decent scaling, so just put your head down and you should get an awesome UAI :)

you will go well with any combo of subjects just as long as you work hard and do reasonably well.. there is no point doing all the harder subjects that supposedly scale well if u are going to bomb out in them.. better off doing the so called 'easier' ones and killing them

you can get an edge if you pick subjects you are good at and if they scale well
