Wow, those finds above are really great! I personally love the fact that lives have been lived in vintage clothes. I found my best purchases in the vintage stores of the blue mountains - there are specialty vintage stores (which are much more expensive) as well as Vinnies, Salvation Army, etc.

In launceston there is a charity called city mission - they have the best clothes. I was driving to work last night and one has just opened up down the road (!!!!!)

I found the coolest jacket last week. It looked like black/grey denim, but was this strange leathery/felty material. With shoulder pads.

Cept i can never find jeans that fit.

Also, hate expensive op shops. I went to one in belgium and they were charging like sixty euros for a pair of old school trackpants. Not cool.

Blacktown has like 10+ opp shops, most of which haven't been picked clean.
Try the huge salvos near the old AMF and "Catch of the day" on Main st.
Otherwise I avoid Blacktown at all costs.

Well I had to do 3 days of community service there and its just a bit like the lottery you never know what you might find but you have to be really keen to find something good. I've always wondered are the best vinnies in the eastern suburbs around the city?
