"IS THE AUSTRALIAN YOUTH MOVING AWAY FROM AN ORGANISED RELIGION AND AS A RESULT ATHEISM IS BECOMING A SUBSTITUTE AND A POPULAR TREND?" - is my PIP Topic/Main Question thing. I know I'm going to do something along the lines with Christianity and Atheism (As Atheism being my cross-cultural reasearch) But I really don't know about the question ><.

In Shorter words; I'm doing mine on Atheism!

I'm doing mine on something like Poor Little Rich Girl- why the programs aimed at teenagers take a pretty rich girls life and destroy it... Do they realise we're not stupid, not matter how dramatic they try to make these 'IT GIRLS' lives, I'd still rather be the one driving the Mercedes to daddys mansion.

It's a work in progress..it'll probably boil down to something on spoiling children.

teenage relationships and how media and our peers influence our expectations and decisions.

im not sure if its good. but i know it'll be easy to find the right sources and methodologies. is it too common, do you think? im struggling to understand it all. the PIP in general, i mean, not the topic.

The representation of homosexuality in popular television, and whether it influences stereotypes/society's percpetions of the GLBT community.

I don't know, I have a feeling mine is too broad and overdone. Especially with the whole 'media influence' - from what I gather, it's done quite a bit.

What does everyone else think?

That sounds like an absolutely brilliant topic.

But, what do you mean by "God's country" and "suburbism"?

"God's Country" is this unnofficial name that the Shires been given over the years. I think it's come from the fact that it's seen as so good, which is sort of ridiculous, but yeah. "Suburbism" is a word I've created - as I'm doing a comparison between the Sutherland Shire and St. George Regions.

Thank you :)
I'm actually really happy with the way it's going, and I've come across excellent case studies.

If anyone needs help with research, I'll be more than glad to help.
All I seem to be doing is researching for this thing lately.
