easiest test in last 10yrs
agreed... I'd say question 8 was only up to question 6/7 questions. However some of the early questions were harder than usual (eg the conic one)

maybe its me but i thought this exam was harder than the past few years.
there was a couple of giveaway questions....but i hope that the guys who's been celebrating is only a minority who will drag my mark up.

haha don't worry man

I got about 70-75 /120 I reckon

so fuck you all

I know it's not great, but hey, I hope it's good enough to dux my school [in maths]

and besides, you guys are all geniouses/nerds anyway
there's no factoring in of the people who do badly

hmm... this isn't that comforting

any idea what my mark will scale to?

haha hey van, u might have some competition for dux.... ;)
but 75/120..surely that would be scaled to high band e3 or even e4

i got a fair bit of the first 4-5 questions, then 6 was pretty tough, and 7-8 i didnt really touch. But I did ok, to anyone like myself dont get too down, these guys are at the top of the subject, and you need to compare yourselves to the middle :)

hmmm,
i'd say a raw of 70% which ain't much considering you guys thought little of it :/
hoping that's enough for an e4 though.

induction: use the assumption and the first part

you have k^2 + n(k+1)/n1 + n(k+1)/n2 + .... n(k+1)/nk + n(k+1)/n(k+1) + n1/n(k+1) + etc. etc.
then group n(k+1)/n2 + n2/n(k+1) etc.
thats >= two from part a
so LHS >= k^2 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 +....2 (+2 k times)
>= k^2 + 2k + 1

You got be coming from another planet...the 1999 and 2002 test was easier then this one. I got the state average for 1999 and it was a 75 (highest ever average!) so ye in 4u getting above state average will be a high E3 or low E4
