Re: The Official A-League Thread.

Please keep your Euro fanboy rubbish thoughts to yourself. Ever thought by getting out the house you might actually be supporting the game in this country and increasing the standard?
sounds like a typical post-2006 new dawner with a bad case of cultural cringe to me.

try calling on some of the european players who are not getting regular minutes for their respective clubs, there are heaps of them
or
like craig foster was saying, try and play the olyroos squad more often as that'll be the main source of future socceroos.

because alot of the current socceroos are going to retire post '10 , and the likes of pondeljak and heffernan certainly wont be travelling to to africa.

what do you think?

Re: The Official A-League Thread.

Verbeek is right about the quality of the A-League.

However, if we have to lose, I would rather it be consisting of a team of 18 year olds who can improve rather than journeymen pros who bring nothing to the side. If all A-League sides had the approach of the Roar, people might actually want to watch the games.

Think my thoughts on this matter are pretty clear.

melbourne people have a self inflated view of themselves and their state which leads to everybody else in australia thinking they are fucking cunts.

melbourne victory fans are just the pinnacle of this.

unfortunately they also managed to pay off the ref for the grand final so well have to listen to their shit for another year.

hahaha, we have the trophies to back it up.
unfortunately for you, that means the bragging rights for another year.

adelaide made plenty of money from the foray in the fifa club world cup, surely they would have known we were going to pay the referee. why were they being so stingy?

obviously aloisi and kossie have some sort of issue. a player does not go from decent to pants in a single season when they're playing in the same league.

Quite the fall from grace Aloisi has experienced.

From being cheered for putting Aus through to the WC, to being jeered by his club fans.

What's hapnd, Al? :(

Re: The Official A-League Thread.

Sydney is killing the A-League by existing lol.

On a slightly related note, I'm amused by this whole Jets. Vs. Knights thing thats playing out atm due to the Knights refusal to pay 800k of overdue rent. They should get off their high horse and let the Jets be no 1. in newey
