Good lord. Where do I start? I ran a search and could not find one mention of this book, and I was equal parts shocked, disgusted and disappointed in you all. It's by far one of the best fantasy books I've ever read. Unlike many other fantasy books, it doesn't take the world that it lives and breathes in for granted, but constructs it wonderfully and best of all, I found myself wanting to find out every detail - there was none of that customary boredom reminiscent of reading 10,000 words of dry world-building that often occurs elsewhere in other books. It is also, for lack of an adequate phrase or word, written so well and poetically.

Honestly, if you call yourself a fan of fantasy novels, this is a must-read. I'd put it up there with the very best.

NotW was quite astoundingly good, especially for a debut novel.

Only problem I have with it is that Rothfuss already has 6 books planned and that means a very lengthy wait before the conclusion of this series.
