i realllllly wasn't overly impressed with a lot of albums this year, 2007 was a far better year imo. but yeah, an approximately-numbered list;

1. the grates - teeth lost, hearts won
2. death cab for cutie - narrow stairs (mostly just because it's death cab, there are a few epic songs but the rest are fairly .. eh)
3. jack johnson - sleep through the static
4. the presets - apocalypso
5. girl talk - feed the animals
6. kings of leon - only by the night
7. vampire weekend - vampire weekend
8. cold war kids - loyalty to loyalty
9. bloc party - intimacy (pretty much solely for the awesomeness of halo)
10. idk about #10 .. maybe tokyo police club or something
