You just go and they place you in groups of people who you'll likely share classes/lectures with and they make you do stupid things like organise a party or something.
clearly was a mistake to pay..organise a prty? sounds so dumb!

little participation if tyaht happens again haha!

well that was in my group, which was the Psychology group/... other groups had other stuff... guess they just assumed we all liked dressing up and getting drunk, cos thats what most of the parties turned out to be

I was part of the physics group and we had to organise a party as well.

The only reason why I went was so I know where I'd be going on my first day of uni and have "some" friends.

Yeah..doesn't sound too bad. Too bad I didn't get an invite :S. Oh well, I guess it's too late now...
What degree are you doing? You should have received an invitation at enrolment.

I don't think you receive anything. I went last year and I didn't. Did you photocopy your application for it (because that acts as your receipt)? It should have went through though. If your concerned, ring the science faculty.

Wow I just got an e-mail telling me that there are over 400 students that applied for this workshop.

The e-mail also acknowledges that your name will be on the list :p so no need of receipt.

That was so much fun! I met heaps of cool funny people.

I was in the chemistry group that organised to assasinate Steve Irwin :p

The food was great, no pumpkin sandwiches! :p

Trivia was also mad cos we won heaps of stuff. I got a block of chocolate, yay! However, some of the questions were a bit  but it was a great day!

i only remember 2 people from our big group
one i liked and one i hated. everyone else was a blur
i was part of the 'great escape from science transition day' group.
he didn't even mention the good bits like synchronising watches, or the convoy of wheelie bins
gah.
and they totally rejected my idea to plan the 'biggest game of twister in the world ever'
science people are no fun

I enjoyed it despite my confidence and social skills being slightly lacking, maybe I just happened to be put in a better group than you. I was in the psych group, seems to be a friendly enough bunch.

And I loved the trivia.
