I reckon trials are good.. they're a big wake up call for many HSC students...
They split them for my trials.. we have Paper 1 on Monday, then on Tuesday are other exams, Paper 2 on Wednesday.Darrow said:

My trials now over!
Hello all. I completed my trial HSC exams! It was fun in some bits except that stupid maths catholic school papers. They added very harder stuff in them which we haven't acknowledged.
So here my estimation and comment how i go on these papers:
1. English (two papers): Yes i remembered all the quotes in both exam papers. I think i went well than half yearly. So my guess is at 75%.
2. Mathematics Advanced: I don't like CSSA papers, they are too hard for advanced level because they add bloody oath extension questions in it! Last 3-4 questions are terribly hard and it ain't helping our knowledge for the HSC. My guess is at 60%.
3. HSC Chemistry: I felt alot better in this paper than last year exams. It has got easier than i thought so yeah i hope i get into band 4. My guess is at 65%.
4. HSC Physics: Similar to Chemistry, but i excepted to boost my confidence on Thomson experiments questions. My guess is at 64%.
5. HSC Biology: Its alot easier than i thought! Plenty questions are very easy. Just few are trying to beat my memory esp on '1 mark' questions and i didn't care about it. My guess is at 82%.
Sighs! I better have a rest for a week i afraid! Only 7 weeks to HSC!

advanced english - 76%. quite happy, considering i had no idea for the creative writing and was completely stuck. not sure of my rank, but i think i'll retain my 4th...
biology - 88%. everything i studied came up in the multiple choice not short answer. but i managed 2nd in the year for the test, overall 4th.
italian continuers - 79%. my teacher was disappointed because i usually get in the high 80's. but my position is still 1st in both the test and overall.
ancient history - 78%. screwed pompeii's 10-mark essay question by not studying the right thing and got 15/25. killed sparta section with 23/25. my essays were alright, 21 and 19 out of 25. came 3rd in the year, beaten by the extension kids...
business - haven't got it back yet, but a couple of friends in the other class said i came 3rd.
while the marks aren't spectacular i'm happy with the ranks.

i don't know why.
maybe because the more i read this forum, the more freaked out im getting about trials and its making me go crazy in disbelief at how little prep ive done.
major works have screwed me royally.
on a good note i got my p's today hahaha something to be excited about
"just dance, it's gonna be okay..." i don't know what song that is, it's just on the radio. seems like good advice lol.
anyway. my trials start on monday:
