There is a question in an assignment i have asking 'What is the current TWI? What does this mean?". Could anyone help me with regards to where i could find this information, and also information on current exchange rate statistics?

Thanks! :)

http://www.abs.gov.au/ - latest statistics - terribly sorry if you have already been there and found nothing!

About the trade weighted index, I'm not sure, which textbook are you using. Cos if its the Tim Dixon one, they should have the latest stats.

Good Luck with the Eco

TWI is measurement of say aust's currency against the currency of all our major trading partners with out most major partners given a higher weighting....its like an effective exchange rate that uses value of imports and exports to determine the index!!!

CAD>if something like if our terms of trade is deteriorating , more pressure on CAD therefore external instabilty(which i dont understand) if TWI decreases external stability worsens....
