hey guys, if anyone can help i need an estimate of uai for my marks. i am really concerned at where im heading so just wanted a guesstimate from any of yousse out there who can give an approx figure for my uai if i go the way i am going right now

here are my ranks

2u maths adv- 62/72
2u eng adv- 130-210
legal studies- 20/28
bizness studies 8/20
economics- 50/90

my school is a selective school ranked top 10 in state with average UAIs well above 90 so that will come in to somehow help me in the future to, but based on the all this info, anyone able to say where im headed?
any help would be appreictaed

and this is before the trials as i got trials in 2 weeks time

your ranks dont look too promising to be honest. how are you finding your subjects so far? are your ranks due everyone getting brilliant marks and you're getting averageish marks or are you struggling, or a combination of both? hard to tell atm, it would be best to have marks and ranks after you finish your trials...

well acording to teachers my bands are as follows in my reports

2u maths adv- 62/72 thats a band 4 atm and approx 45ppl expectd to get band 6
2u eng adv- 130-210 thats a mid band 5 and approx 40ppl expectd 2 get band 6
legal studies- 20/28 another mid band 5 and top 10 people expected to get band 6
bizness studies 8/20 low band 6 and approx 12 ppl expectd 2 get band 6
economics- 50/90 high band 5 close to band 6 and approx 40 people expectd to get band 6

i am getting avergish marks and everyone els is getting brilliant...considering around 30ppl from our school get UAI 99+ every year and around 120-140 get uai 90+, at the moment i think im on the 90Uai mark but thats my estimate thats y i am getting other people's views
u think im looking too high a mark if i say 90?
what would you estimate?

maybe around mid to high 80s.
top in 10 in the state means your cohort is most likely to boost your marks up....but all you can do is just to do well in the external exam.

mate im pretty confident u will get 80+. ur ranking are similar to mine except your chemistry should scale higher than my legal and so should your maths as my maths is my weakest subject. but how can your school be top 2o and top 70 if diff papers, like it wouldnt be that different in the papers, my school was top 10 in one paper and top5 in other 2...but yeah im pretty sure u can expect a 85or so uai with those marks but i guess its open to discussion

but there is one things, the diff between the top5 schools and those ranked 6-20 is quite large but they are all highly respected results and i dont think you should aim for 80, you can do better!
goodluk

mate i know exactly how u feel, i have been in same position, i have had high expectations right from start coming from a top 5 school but so far have not tried at all and been very relaxed about everything and bludging thorugh literalli every asesment. but so far iv realised that being from a good school my estimate so far is prolli based on my luck which i know can only take me so far so im trying now to put some hard effort in and gaining the marks i want because i know my luck wont take me everywhere.
because if im on the 89-90 mark right now which i believe i am but cant say for sure, i want to puch myself to a 92ish mark eevn though starting early would have helped but i guess thats the price i pay for enjoying my last year of school, no regrets though:p

rofl how can your school rankings be different in different papers? :S
of course they're different- the way the rankings are determined differ from paper to paper although the top twenty of both lists are pretty much identical.

So like, if I screwed up my English Advanced exam for Trials but got everything else +band 5, could I still make up for it in the HSC?
