Im assuming that being a uni student entitles you to concession rate public transport, how does it work, do you get a concession card like at high school?

Yes you do get a card of some sort. Note that with trains you no longer can select child and half fares. You can only select 'Student/Apprentice'.

During enrolment you will receive a photo id which acts as your concession card and library card. Atleast at usyd.

At most unis the concession 'sticker' is printed onto the student card.

No, they take it on the day of your enrolment

Yes definitely be prepared for the photo. They'll use the same photo for the rest of your time at the uni.

same deal with UNSW. You go to FM Assist and get your mugshot taken. Its then printed on the spot on a shiny new card with a hologram and the concession label.
